Da Rules
Every site has rules. It's what makes the world go 'round. So just read them. We know they're long and boring, and most of you probably have better things to do then sit at a computer reading rules that you've read about a million times for different sites, but just do it. Whether you're accepted or not - Just read 'em!
Roleplaying
1. No god-modding. Ever. It's annoying and useless. Why would anyone want to roleplay if someone else was playing their character for them? Get the point? It's just not enjoyable when someone else plans out what your character does. So just don't do it. If I see a post where someone god-mods, then I'll delete it without a warning. If you see a post like this, just PM an admin and we'll take care of it for you. I have a lot of better things to do then delete posts all day, so don't god-mod. It's not a good way to make friends. It's just annoying.
2. No perfect characters, or 'Mary-Sues'. Everyone has flaws and no one is perfect. Yes, I realize this is the roleplaying world, and everything can be just as you like it to be, but roleplaying with a perfect character is incredibly boring. Flaws make the character more interesting. I'm not asking you to make your character a complete dramatic mess, but just don't make them perfect. Make them a nose picker, or say they have a mole on their butt. If I see a perfect character, you won't be accepted. Just remember that.
3. On the other hand, I do not want to see drama sleepers. I understand that when you roleplay, it's more interesting, and a lot more entertaining, when one of your characters has something the matter with them. That's fine. It's when one character has one hundred thousand things the matter with them that I can't stand. So don't make any 'oh woe is me' characters. They won't be accepted. No one enjoys roleplaying with characters who are all depressive. It isn't pretty.
4. This site is rated 'R'. If you have problems with that, then I suggest you leave the board right now.
5. Swearing is allowed. However, I don't want any sailors on the board. I understand that everyone swears every so often, but some more than others. I just don't want to see eff this and eff that. I'm sure you can think of better adjectives than that. If I see a post full of swears, then I'll PM the poster, and ask them to revise their post.
6. Sex is also allowed on this site. I don't want to read details about it, however. That's just gross and personally, I don't want to have those disgusting thoughts in my head all day. There are younger roleplayers on the board, so have some respect for them. If you're planning on having sex, then please put a warning in the topic description. If sex wasn't planned in the post, then PM an admin and we'll be more than happy to put a warning in there for you. Any unwarned topics involving sex will be deleted. You may also personal message each other while having sex if you really must have it REALLY graphic, that way no youngsters will read it.
7. If you want your character to become pregnant, then please PM an admin to ask for permission. We'll probably say yes, if you ask us first. We love drama as much as the next person, so if there aren't already a million characters with babies, then we'll most likely grant you permission. However, if you just make a character, and we see that she is pregnant, then we'll delete you with no warning. Us admins like to know about those things! Plus, we don't want any baby booms on the site anytime soon. Most teenagers don't get pregnant anyways.
8. The same rule goes for marriage. If you want your characters to get married, then please PM an admin. You must have a really, really, really good reason for your characters to get hitched if they're still in their teenage years. Graduated characters we will be more lenient towards, since they're almost adults. And then adults will most likely always get accepted. It's life. Live with it.
9. When you write your posts, please put them in third person and in the past tense. I don't want to see any 'I's' in your post. If I see a post like this, it will automatically be deleted. So don't write like this:
I walked out of the classroom and smiled happily.
That's wrong. Don't do it.
She walks out of the classroom and smiles happily.
That's wrong too. Don't do it.
She walked out of the classroom and smiled happily.
Yay! That's right. Stick with that, and the admins will love you. <333
10. Do not post anywhere until you have been accepted. Don't post in the OOC. Don't post in the advertisements. Don't post in the IC section. Just don't post at all until you're accepted. It just causes a lot of unneeded aggrevation. An admin will accept you as soon as possible, so please be patient. If you post before you're accepted, you will be deleted. But you can post in the Guest Board, for members and guests... But thats it.
11. When you're posting something out of character, then put it in one of these: [ ] { } < > Something that differentiates it from your original post. Try to keep them to a minimum. Don't write pointless things in them either. If you're going to write something out of character, keep it related to the post.
12. When writing a post, do a good job. Now I know this may be a bit harsh, but who wants to roleplay with someone who wrote three sentences for their reply? Every post you make must be at least 200 words. Anything less than that will be deleted. It isn't much fun to roleplay with someone who leaves you nothing to go by. You need to have something to reply too. And, of course, absolutely no one liners.
Characters
1. When you join, please register your character with a first, middle, and last name. If you forget one, then PM an admin, and we'll change the name. Try not to forget though. It gets annoying after awhile. The admins have better things to do then change names all day. Everyone makes mistakes though, so don't hesitate to PM us. We won't bite you or anything.
2. You may have up to four characters on the board. No more than that. The catch, however, is that you must have one male, to every female that you play. For instance, if you make two females, that's fine. But you can't make another female. If you want to make anymore characters, then the two others must be males. Understand? We don't want the site to be populated by mostly females. If I catch you with more than two females, then I'll ask you to give one up. You must be active with all of your characters. They're your responsibility.
5. If at any time, you don't think you can handle the amount of characters you have, then PM an admin, and we'll delete one for you. Try not to take on more than you can handle though. Things come up, and that's understandable.
6. Don't kill you're characters. We love them. We don't want them to die. If you really don't like your character, and wish it death, then PM an admin. We'll try to work something out. But we wouldn't make the characters if we just wanted them to die.
OOC
1. Needless to say, everyone has to respect everyone on this board. I'm not saying you have to like everyone, you just have to be tolerable of them. Don't go starting fights with anyone. If you must, then carry it out over PM. Race, religion, gender, politics, and any other questionable topics will not be discussed in the OOC section. Those topics just lead to trouble, and more than likely, someone's feelings will be hurt. Roleplaying is for fun! Not to make other people feel bad.
2. Advertising is cool, since we all love to find new boards with cool plots. Just don't join only to post advertisements. That's annoying and it isn't too nice. If you want to advertise, then go ahead.
3. Don't spam. Spam is bad. Double-posting is bad. Bad, bad, bad. The edit button is your best friend. Remember that. If we see you double posting once or twice, we won't say anything. If we see you double posting all the time, then you will be warned. What's the point in doing that? It will only make people angry with you. It isn't a nice way too make friends. And some people just get freaked out at spamming and have a heart attack - Don't ask why, but I've seen it happen.
Other
1. Avatars and signatures are pretty, right? P-R-E-T-T-Y. Big graphics are not. Plain pictures are not. Therefore, avatars are limited to 100 x 100, and signatures may be no larger than 600 x 340. If they go a little over that, then I won't be too concerned. Just make sure they don't stretch the pages.
2. You must have a signature and/or avatar. Both would be great! But one or the other is required.
3. When posting in the photo albums, please don't stretch the page. Re-size your images as necessary. If you stretch the page, I will delete whatever picture is causing the problem. It's not fun to have to keep scrolling across to see things. Not fun at all.
4. This is a human role play, and you can do what humans in real life do. But no magical powers - Sure, it's cool and interesting, but this is a realistic role play. You can own a stable and such, or a kennel with a ton of dogs, but don't turn this into a mixed role playing game with every animal/human possible...
4. Have fun! And don't hesitate to PM admins if you need to. We're here to help, and we're nice... kind of. Just kidding. If you have suggestions, PM us. If you're having a problem, PM us.
